I think its obvious that the CBR300 came out simple because they saw that the Ninja 300 did so well

In terms of styling I personally prefer the CBR300 but the Ninja 300 is a nice looking motorcycle too

it'll come down to price, handling, ergonomics, and performance

The CBR300R should be priced a few hundred dollars less than the Ninja 300. Ergonomics and handling for the CBR300R will be virtually identical to that of the CBR250R, so that comparison to the Ninja 300 is easy to make right now... just go ride a CBR250R and a Ninja 300.

I don't think we want to put people off Moto mike. While I agree that the cbr 300 will take much from the 250 in terms of parts it will be a better, more powerful bike. It also looks a lot better too, it has a more sporty look than the 250

Very true, somewhere inbetween where the CBR250 was priced and the Ninja 300, Honda might even go a bit under Ninja 300 pricing to make headlines on all the motorcycle blog for effortless marketing.

How did you read that into my post?... "put people off?"

What I was referring to were the ergonomics and handling of the 300R being the same as the CBR250R, which if you had actual experience with the 250R you would know this. Both bikes share the same, identical rolling chassis. You would also know, if you had ridden one, that the CBR250R is one of the very best handling motorcycles available on the market today. This would imply that the 300R will follow suit.

This is very true my friend has a 250R and giving that a ride just about sumed up everything that I was looking for compared to my 125. One of the things that did stand out to me during the test ride is how well it handled.

The 300 will do everything the 250 does with a little bit more power.

thats the best way to put it, which is why a lot of guys that own CBR250's might not be able to justify buying a new 300.

so do you buy a 300 or not?
