Any interest in OEM muffler?

I'd be willing to part with it for a decent price. Has about 5k miles on it and comes with new gasket. New ones go for around $780 + tax from the dealer. I could use $500...

Whole lot of folks have their OE mufflers sitting around. Check ebay for going rates on 'em.

Ouch. That is an extreme case of depreciation! Not worth selling for less than $100. Yikes.

I think the only way you might see that kind of money for a minty OEM muffler would be to hang on to it for 30 years and then put it up for sale when no one else (including Honda) likely has one.

+1 This has paid dividends for me selling bikes. I always revert them to stock and sell the go fast bits separately. The stock status of the bike widens your market (esp beginners/learners) and anyone who does like the go fast bits wont want to pay you extra for them.

Correct..current OEM mufflers are not worth anything to be honest...at least at this point in time.

The problem with bikes aimed at first time riders is that first time riders buy them..

I’ve banged mine against the post I have to squeeze past to park. More than once. I’m hoping they stay unwanted in case I ever decide mine is too scruffy.
