Those 2 pictures are both of patch harness type connections. You unplug the ecu, then one plug connects to the wiring loom and the other back into you ecu.
Then these Online sites are falsely advertising the PCV then. They describe the V and the photos of the product show the PCV

the PCFC part # is FC16-024
the PCV is #Item #:PCV_16-024

Anyhow, recieved the PCV today. Undid the tape surrounding where they tapped into wires etc to trace/check which wires were connected to what. There are 8 wires coming from the PCV altogether.

These wires are just tapping in. (Pcv wire colours not factory loom)
Red pin 1-IGP (battery or ignition)
Bl/W pin 4-SG (wire supplys power to sensor unit on the throttle body)
Grey pin 5-THL (throttle position)
Black pin 10-PG2 (earth)
W/bl pin 12-PCP (crank trigger)
Br/W pin 23-PCM (crank trigger)

These last 2 wires are intercepted. The wires a different colour leading from loom to PCV to the one going from the PCV to the ecu.

G in, W/G out pin 11-IGPLS (coil)
O in, W/O out pin 16-IJN (injector)

All other wires are left alone for the factory ecu to communicate with everything else. (Bank angle sensors, tacho, water temp etc)

Now i just to plug it in, connect laptop and check its all working i guess...

Sounds like a good deal. Are you going to build your own map? Obviously maps for the Grom are no good. There are some guys on the 250r forum with the PCV also

Next issue to overcome is the groms lower rpm limit. It has rev extend but i believe its still limited to 9250 or 9750, i forget.

Grom only has 4, and the pcv does gear mapping so not sure if i can just recalibrate speed and gearing.

Ill email dynojet and see how helpful they will be. Afaik i cant just load a cbr250r map onto a grom pcv.

I also purchased the wideband 2. So once i get a new header, ill get the Wideband sensor bung welded in, then hopefully with its sorcery will give me a 13.5afr in the closed loop area of the std ecus mapping. Then i can tweak the ign timing across the borad and fuel in the 80%+ tps area.

Interestingly enough, the preloaded grom map removes fuel, much like the bazzaz map i posted somewhere else.

Ill try get it on the dyno before tweaking to give an idea of how its running now, then get it properly tuned after the recall works been done with a 13:1cr wiseco piston and takegawa cams.

Wow, just got an email back from jettuning saying they canget them again. I believe dynojet isnt making them have a minimum order of 10 anymore.

I find it amusing that this happens after i emailed dynojet with links to this thread etc im sure its just coincedence tho.

But yeh, if I'd waited barely a week i wouldn't have any guess work. That said, the bonus of the wb2 from hardracing is its presetup to give the altered stock O2 sensor.

I'm not sure how the jettuning pcvs work around the O2 on peoples cbr250r.

I might need to join their forums and ask.
