ABS light suppose to turn off?

I swear I recall seeing it on at all times. Maybe I'm just insane? I checked the manual and it says "If the indicator operates in one of the following ways, you may have a serious problem with the brake system. Reduce your speed and have your motorcycle inspected by your dealer as soon as possible.
Indicator comes on or starts flashing while riding. Indicator does not come on when the ignition switch is in the ON position. Indicator does not go off at speeds above 6 mph (10 km/h).
If the ABS indicator stays on, your brakes will continue to work as a conventional system, but without the anti-locking function."

I put on about 450 miles in the last 2 days in preparation for a longer trip this coming week and I'm tripping out with paranoia that something is going to go wrong haha.

Once you start moving it goes off... unless you have an issue of course.
Whats the purpose of having a warning light if it's on all the time?

Many years ago a washing machine maker decided to put a LED in the machine... which stays ON while the machine was OFF.

I'm sorry..but that is soooooo dumb imo.

The problem with bikes aimed at first time riders is that first time riders buy them..
