Aprilia RS660

It's bike show season again... here's an interesting new option in the middle weight dept. Gets the covers lifted off it next week at the EICMA show in Milan.

Has already been shown on the last EICMA. It wasn't clear when it will hit the market, then.
I'll be there tomorrow. Looking forward to see the final bike and probably the new Fireblade.

Back from EICMA. Here're the pictures of the Aprilia 660 and the new Fireblade.

The one with both wheels red is the more naked Tuono version. But I agree, it looks better than the RS model with the mixed wheels. The crank is 270 degrees so will sound awesome.

Got an e-mail back from Aprilia Dealer today. He's been in touch with Aprilia NZ and they reckon it will probably come in around the 20K NZD mark (18K AUD, 12.5K USD) Ouch!
Long way off reaching our shores though. I've heard July for the US and later for us.
Lots of time to save up maybe..

The problem with bikes aimed at first time riders is that first time riders buy them..

If wishes could come true...Let's not get started there... And I'm not just talking motorcycles here... but that's a start.

To ride or not to ride? What a stupid question.

Haha, you know me too well.
The price is a bit of a stumbling block though. It's going to be more than twice the price I paid for the Ninja...
Will see how well it reviews and what the final pricing is. Lots of time to consider it... could be a slightly late 50th birthday present to self.
