You kind of dodged a bullet there bud. I saw to the right of this page (Recent Discussions) "I taught my wife a new word or two today"........ saw "kiwi rider " after it and I thought..... OMG..you got married????? Whew man that was close...

The problem with bikes aimed at first time riders is that first time riders buy them..

No disrespect intended towards riders with nice wives. I know there are some good ones out there. Hard to find but..

plenty of good women have also been bitten,
and are very shy..
a good woman is like a good motorcycle,, needing specific care and attention, regular maintenance, skill and consideration in handling and the attitude of becoming one with her, moving together as a unit on the physical, emotional and other levels.. and heres to those wonderful lady motorcyclists...
pity the poor fastener [or woman] who needs only considerate hands yet gets a torque wrench...

When I was but a lad, me dad had a Porsche 356 coupe. It was the mid-late ‘60s, and they weren’t that special (to boring people, not me). Anyway, it was making a good effort at not starting when he needed to go somewhere, and he let loose with a vocabulary-expanding tirade in front of 7 year old me. He stopped, looked at me, and carefully explained that those were “special” words that you “only used when you really really needed them.” He also pointed out that I would never need to use them when my mother was around.

my dad was also always making or restoring things, occasionally taking a finger hit etc, to which he would start out "FAAAaaaa [then] - from the maddening crowd..."
then look up to see if mum was listening..
mum would pretend not to hear, smiling sweetly..

Oh Gosh do I ever have a story I could tell you guys.... from my Dentist Chair no less. But since this is a "Family " kind of site I cant. To bad cause it was told to me (true) from the lady who was cleaning my teeth and her experience with her 5 year old son and the "F" word.
