if you havn't had reduced pressure tire[s] from taking a screw etc, next time checking/filling let them or one down a bit and ride on it, feeling for it..
your brains ability to discern changes in balance and bike movement is sufficient to recognise lower pressures, even when still rideable..
my typical take off includes 'feeling' for tyre pressure, down the hill and around first corner [ie, same familiar course taken every ride], where any feeling of difference thru tyres means heading direct to my regular servo [no ethanol and good air equipment]..
or, even better, have your own foot pump and gauge..
