purchased an exhaust that was for the 300 it tuned out it was for the 250,the 300 header is longer than the one for the 250 so the exhaust clamp end up to far forward of the silencer and didn't fit right.An not so elegant solution was to buy a u-joint repair kit and beat the metal part straight.
My guess is that any exhaust for the 250 will fit the 300 given that you get something to move the clamp back.
let me know your opinions on this.

The only way to properly fit that Musarri slip-on to your bike is to shorten the mid-pipe, and use a pipe expander (auto muffler shops have them) to open the newly cut mid-pipe to match up with the end of the header pipe & gasket. It's possible that you may also need to make a new bend in the mid-pipe to get it all to line up.
