Beautiful day out today. It is sunny and warmish. I was looking forward to today as it is a day off.....and a nice one for a ride. I came down with a horrible head/chest cold yesterday so due to my brain being quite slow because of said cold....I will not go riding.

Aargh! Dissappointing.

That's a wise decision... hope you'll feel better soon.

Thanks Mike.
*cough....cough....sputter*
I'm nowhere near a good or competant enough rider to not be at 100% for a ride.

Get a few oranges and slice 'em up for yourself...

Agreed with MotoMike... Good move on calling it off. Not worth risking - I've done the same.

also get as much warm water as you can thru your
nasal passages, both or either way..
use a warm tap and little finger 'pumping' action
with nostril close to water flow..
and/or any shower nozzle on its hose
tap on medium flow up nostrils..
and/or pour warm salty water into nostril
head tilted sideways, from a tea pot
or purpose designed infuser
- including yoga neti pot -

and [in shower] gargle repeatedly
each time letting water down
further in throat [until gagging reflex]
including thorough brushing of teeth
and strong mouth rinsing..

this is comparable to say, flushing out
a blocked drain.. literally flushing
countless bacteria, virus' and muck
out of, your nasal passages
and throat...

if theyre not in there they cant
breed or **** or stimulate over
production of mucus,, which
can accumulate in your stomach
making you feel sick

this is before using any of various
medications such as pseudoephedrine
hydrochloride to stop sinus over reactions
and creation of the muck intended to
take invading organisms etc down
into your stomach for digestion..

breathing steam [not too close]
has similar effects, only slower..
even a nice long hot shower
will result in breathing steam
to some effective extent..

if you dont believe this simple
hands on solution can work
then its easy to find out
directly for yourself...

Thanks for all the pointers everyone!

This hits me 2-3 times a year. My slight asthma and slight COPD make the commonest of colds hit me hard. Starting to feel better...meaning this'll be gone in a day or 2.

Time to sit back ..take care of your self and watch some Motorcycle Racing on T.V. to get your fix.
