Hi guys,

got my cbr300r recently and have been struggling with the shift lever in my boots (astar smx-6). I cant get my feet under the lever and it just doesnt feel right.

I have no issue in 'tennis shoes'.

is it a case of wearing in the boots more, getting used to it with more riding, or adjusting the shift lever.

how would I adjust the shift lever?

Cheers

You could also get smaller foot pegs to lower your foot that extra inch. The stock foot pegs are quite beefy.

Undo the two square locking nuts at each end of the connecting rod. One is left hand thread and one is right hand, cant remember which is which.
Once you have the nuts wound back turn the connecting rod by hand or with pliers. You will see the gear lever rise and fall depending on which way you wind the rod.
Do the two lock nuts up again and go for a test ride. May take a couple of goes to get it right.
