Has anyone seen a CBR300R or CB300F at a dealer, or on the street even, in the North American market yet?

I stopped by a Honda dealer here in St. Louis the other day where a salesman told me it would still be a couple of months before they are available.

However, he did not seem very knowledgeable about the model, and when I mentioned the CB300F it seemed to take him by surprise - as if he hadn't heard of it.

I was told late August by my local dealer a few weeks ago. Maybe I'll stop in and see if anything has changed. It would seem like extremely poor planning to debut a bike in the States in October, or later. That salesman probably just wanted you to buy something on the floor. "Ooooh, the 2015's aren't gonna be out for awhile, but we have these right now." That's exactly what a car dealer told my mom. Not even a week later the same dealer and salesman called back and said he had 2015's in. She's since gone to a different dealer after I suggested to her they should go eff themselves :D

We are still waiting down here in New Zealand too. My local dealer tells me they should have a demo bike in store come October. I see they on sale in Australia now though.

Also, it doesn't look like we will be getting the Repsol edition straight away either. Shame as its my preferred choice of color scheme. Lucky riders in Thailand!

I think it makes sense for Honda to release the Repsol version of the CBR 300 later. It looks like it will be a popular livery, and it will be able to boost sales in a year or so when sales might start to slump after the initial release.

you could be right! ALthough I've seen dealers do this in the past, they will photo a demo model that HQ circulates and then say come in its here, yet its not.

ALthough it could be legit they have pics of the red, tricolore and black outside their place....

So, last evening I went to a different dealer here in St. Louis - Dave Mungenast St. Louis Honda - and my friendly salesman said they expect at least a few 300's within two weeks. He said they have taken deposits for a few of them, but that there may be one or two available in their first batch or two.

He was much more knowledgeable about the 300's than the salesman at the other place I visited.

Got a call today - bike came in last night - assembled for pickup - on show floor - problem is, I work so much, I may not be able to go get it until late next week - tricolor - Crofton, MD!
If you've paid for it or have a significant deposit on the bike, it should be in a back room, not on the sales floor.

Well here they are! I went and took one for a spin yesterday. This was at a dealer in Utah. They've had the bikes for about a week or two now. No doubt it's a beautiful bike!

Going in I was pretty set on the 300, but I rode the 500r as well and definitely appreciated the increase in power. But I like the design of the 300 quite a bit more, as well as the information display. So now I'm torn!

But anybody getting the 300r won't be disappointed at all. It rides beautifully, and again...it's just a straight up sexy bike.

Nice!! I'm still undecided on my opinion of the black Tron colorway, but it does look pretty awesome there. I wonder how well the matte will hold up against things like bug/rock strikes? I've always been under the impression that matte finish tends to be pretty needy if you want to maintain it's look.

Edit: Just out of curiosity, did you notice if the yellow accents were decals of if it was painted on?

No, I didn't sorry. I think it looked a lot better in person than online, but after seeing all the colors I think I like the tri-color the best.

I didn't know that about the matte finish. I was thinking about going for a matte finish on my helmet, but now I might want to reconsider

Just got off the phone with Dallas Honda and they have 300R's in stock now and ABS models coming in tomorrow. Sounds like I'll be making a trip to check them out this weekend. I'll be sure to report back with lots of pictures. Any unanswered questions that y'all have that I may be able to check out while I'm there?
