I find that sitting for any extended period of time has me feeling like that.
Getting off every so often to stretch your legs and walk for a bit might help put off that soreness till a bit later.

14) Have a prepaid cell phone from another network, I usually get a $20 phone from Verizon. This way if you stop in the middle of nowhere you have two networks to try.
Good tip. It might even help to carry a power bank with that phone just incase you need more power, some of them hold enough charge to charge a smartphone battery through a few cycles.
