Hi guys: Just got back from a 70 mile ride on my recently purchased 300F. It's run in past the 300 mile, so I can crank it some. Today in South Central Va. the temps turned into the 70's by 9 AM. Got rolling down lots of twisty back roads and some secondaries. Running in the 6-8 K range. The bugs were awesome and I had to wipe my full face shield several times just to see properly. Toward the latter part of my ride, I was running 60+ on a twisty secondary when(O S...!) a yellow jacket got sucked up in my full face helmet. Not good. Still buzzing, I somehow in a turn whipped my face shield up and I guess he got blown out. I did a rather quick emergency stop then and a Keystone Cop routine removing my helmet. If there were any observers they would have just shook their heads. Fortunately not stung, a good thing since I am allergic to those little F...... . Anyway, just something to consider how S... can happen and very quickly. Hope all had a good day and a nice an uneventful ride.
