I am still in the break-in period of my bike (at around 400 miles currently) and my gas milage has been 61mpg. Majority of the miles has been freeway/highway riding. What is everyone else getting?
What is your city riding like? Do you go easy or hammer it more often when you get the opportunity?with city driving, my gas light doesn't start flashing till ~160-170 miles. If that tells you anything.
Is that what most of your riding is like, no city riding? On my first 250 mile trip I got 70MPG cruising at 70MPH with no city riding.
how many miles have you put on your bike so far? I'm thinking that could be a contributing factor to the gas mileage you're getting.I haven't quite yet paid attention to it, but I know that I have filled my tank twice and im up to about 360 miles now. Started with 1 mile on it. So simple math I guess its about 180 or so per tank right now. Which is better than a car but not what Honda claims on the webpage. I don't slam the throttle back and ride it like I stole it. Im pretty conservative and I do a lot of city riding. Not much hwy yet.

About 360+ at this point. And its about time to rack it for the winter :crying:
Same driving habit and style, got 165 miles out of my first tank (2.590 gallons) for an estimated 63.7 mpgI haven't quite yet paid attention to it, but I know that I have filled my tank twice and im up to about 360 miles now. 63mpg works out to be approximately 75mpg for a UK gallon and 68mpg works out to be 81mpg so that's goodMy first full tank gave me 63mpg (US) with mixed riding. The same style riding on my old CBR250R have me around 67 or 68. I expect this to improve with some miles but I doubt it will be back to 68 since the engine is spinning around 500rpm more at similar speeds.
The octane rating in the UK for regular unleaded is 95 so the CBR300R should run well on thatI'm at 150 miles on the odometer and have two bars left on the fuel gauge. Have not refueled since taking delivery five days ago.
Look forward to my next fuel up... Btw, the manual says our bike requires 86 octane or higher. What octane have you guys been using? Any benefit in fueling with 93 octane?
My apology for the thread jack...
