I was a little apprehensive about the US price, but $4399 is a deal!

By the way, my local Honda dealer has his last remaining CBR250R priced at - $5299.

No explanation given for the jacked-up price, either.

Holy crap... is that for an ABS model, or is it a non-ABS? Either way, at $5299, that 250R is going to collect nothing but dust on his showroom floor (not to mention occupy valuable floor space). Obviously that dealer isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer... if he was smart, he'd make someone a smokin' deal and blow that 250R out the door. Kind of makes you wonder if he's going to add on a bunch of BS fees to the price of the 300R too.

With a U.S. MSRP of $4399 for the CBR300R, it's needless to say that the Ninja 300 won't be competing with the Honda on price... and in the small displacement market segment, having a lower price point is huge.

I also read that the CBR300R ABS version would be priced starting from $4,899. So its $500 more for the ABS version, which I think is pretty fair. Anybody know if there is a price difference depending on which livery you opt for?

Not the biggest fan of the matte yellow. Would of been lovely as black laid over yellow however. OR my personal fav would of been like the old yellow 600RR's using the honda wing, would of looked better then the tricolore IMO...

That's better, along the lines of what I would want if it was yellow, although I could also go without the stripes, still looks great
