Cylinder head cover access

Hi. I'm trying to do a valve check on my CB300R, but the battery box is in the way and can't access the cylinder head cover from the top side. Does anyone know if there is a section in the service manual showing how to access it? I tried accessing from the radiator side, but it seems there isn't enough room to do any work. Thank you!
