Engine Mounting Points

Afternoon! I've been riding for 20yrs, mainly Hayabusas, but my true love is small Honda minis. Specifically the NSF, CRF and Z.

I have a 150cc miniGP I'm building and if throwing the whole kitchen sink at this project (MFZ wheels, aluminum replacement parts, making carbon parts when needed, designing 3D parts, full titanium hardware, etc), an engine will need to upgraded knowing I'll be opening a can of worms. To make it more worth the effort, want FI, water cooled and of course the HP gains.... hence why I'm here. :)

While I feel fairly confident on most of this swap, but before I locate a salvaged bike to pull parts from I'd like to get a better idea to confirm it's feasible to mount in my frame. From pictures, appears to have very similar mounting locations.

My questions is , would anyone have any dimensional info for these engines? Mainly engine mounts and width of the head that in between the frame. I hit up my local Honda to measure one, but they have zero 300s in stock.

Appears the Rebel 300 engine is the same casing as CB/CBR300, just different cam profiles and few HP less. Anyone confirm engine case is the same? I ask because it'd be easier to measure it's engine due to being a cruiser, if I can locate one.

Pics for attention. Was going to make my own exhaust to clear the Ohlins shock prior to seriously considering an engine swap. Muffler is even 3d printed as a place holder while waiting on the real one to come in.

Any help is appreciated!

Sounds like an interesting project, should keep you entertained in the garage for a good number of hours!
I'd run my tape measure over one for you but I sold my CBR300R back in 2017. Just lurking on here these days and throwing out the odd random musing. :giggle:

Thanks! It looks like city over has at least a Rebel on the floor, will show up with a ruler, paper and a pen. Hopefully they don't mind, lol.

My wife would love it if it was only hours spent on the bike, but this is a long term project with focus on learning as much as I can about 3D. The further I dig into it the build, the more I realized I can make and upgrade. The engine will be the icing on the cake if it fits or can be made to fit.
