Hi Guys,

I am planning to buy new CBR300R non abs bike as early as possible.

(The reason for non-abs I have 15 years of riding bikes in abroad (only 100-150cc though))

This will be first bike in Australia.

I am getting quote around $6400 ride away with third party insurance only.

I feel it can be negotiated. it will be really great if you guys can help me with your purchase price and what to check in the contract before putting deposit.

I feel we need On road price with 1 year rego, stamp duty and 2 years warranty..what else I need to check.

This is my first bike purchase in Australia..I will buy without any finance.

I am planning to buy within this month. Give some good dealers.. I live near blacktown, NSW

Thanks in advance,

Hey dude,

I am from Brisbane and I just got my bike 2 days ago.
I spent a week contacting all the dealers around my area to get the best price. I negotiated with them and kept asking them to beat the other dealers price.
I got a fairly good deal in the end, $6175 for a red ABS, one year single seat rego, 40% discount on my helmet and jacket with $100 free glove.

I think Sydney prices will be more compared to Brisbane.
Do you know what will be the best price for non-abs model in Sydney?

Anyway congrats for your new bike.
Hope you are having fun..

Any reason for not going ABS?
I have around 15 years of riding exp in abroad in non-abs bikes. (150cc)
So many people including the riding course instructors are telling me not to go for ABS models. Since I have a braking practice for many years it may confuse me it seems. Don't know personally because I haven't ride any ABS bikes yet. Will be doing it soon once I get my L's tomorrow.

(Since my name in license(abroad) and passport is different I need to start everything as a beginner till I get documents from abroad to convert full license)

I think non ABS is being sold for $6000 including road cost in Brisbane, not sure how much is it in Sydney. You should really bargain with the dealers and don't just pay for the price posted up. Offer them $500 lower than the posted price and say it was offered by another dealer and ask them to beat it. They will definitely try to beat the price. If they can't just walk out and go other dealer.
I would definitely suggest you to buy ABS model, not only for safety reason but also for resale value. Go YouTube and see the difference with ABS. It will really safe your life.
