I just put down on a Tri-Color 300r. The dealer told me 2-3 weeks before I get it. I dont think I will be doing any riding this season being that its already in the 40's in New York. I do want to make a few changes to the bike. 1st thing is can I increase the ride hight by 1 to 2 inches? Im 6'4" would like to sit a little higher. What would I need to change to make this happen?

I would think that you would have to modify your seat then. Buy a new one that is fatter or add extra foam to a seat. I'm sure it wouldn't be the hardest mod to do. Do you find that you are sitting to low to the ground right now? I mean you haven't even gotten the bike in your garage yet, right?

Full suspension mod then, actually you could likely get away with only upping the rear shock but its going to make the bike behave in a different manner. Its more an exercise in suspension than anything else. If you're up for it, do it and document it for the rest of us :D;)

I don't have the bike yet...but i have sat on the bike at the dealer. I just feel that i would see more of the road sitting higher.

I'm sure you could tinker with the suspension. I don't know how to do that but I would guess that you could take it to a shop and this would be something that a mechanic should know how to do.

Are you planning to do it yourself?

The only legit mod that I've heard for raising seat height is a taller rear shock, but again that alters how the front suspension behaves, and will also alter how far onto your wrists the bike pitches you.

I'm not expert, just relaying what I've heard in the past..
