Well I thought I knew all there is to know about metric bolt marking but now I'm stumped-I found the bolt holding the shift lever arm to the engine has a figure 8 on it not a 8.8 or 9.8 just a figure 8 never saw this before and it's not in any metric bolt chart-anyone have any idea what that means-I know it must be the hardest of the bolt but what??

Well I love it when I think hard enough and do research and come up with my own answers-FYI the figure 8 with a line under it a is a non standard JIS-ISO marking which means it's a 8.8-also being it's a flange bolt there are two different classes- NS in this case 6mm shaft 10mm head and NSHF 6mm shaft 8mm head with a smaller flange
