Picked up my new CB300F today. This is my 26th bike. Currently I also own a Suzuki Bandit 1250ABS and have owned bikes for 49 years. From Harleys to Honda 954RR's to ZRX1200's and everything in between. I'm 63 and retired and have a bet with guys that I'm doing a 7000 mile trip on this 286 cc single in August to Badlands, Beartooth Pass, yellowstone and Going to the Sun Highway in Glacier. I live in Charlotte NC area. Its my opinion that a lot of us old baby boomer types need to consider lighter and less expensive bikes as we age out. Too many $25,000 900 pound land yachts out there. I've done many track days and many 1000 mile plus days on tours....I plan to do 500 mile days on this small bike...tank bag, the Honda specific tail bag and a small back pack......an airhawk seat pad and a PUIG windscreen.....Looking forward to the conversations are rest areas when all the Wing guys notice I'm from NC and out in Montana on my 286cc 348 pound bike....yeeehawww ya'll. Old dudes and light bikes rule.

Welcome, sounds like that 300F is in for a good work out! Agree with you on the point about 25K 900lb land yachts, same out here.

How much do you like the cb300f? Do you experience any rattling at certain rpms? If so does it bother you a lot?

Thank you for the reply! I am considering buying a cb300f as well and it wouldn't be my first bike either so it is nice to get your perspective. In fact, in the near future I am going to check out a cb300f that is on sale privately. Hopefully I can test ride it!

Have you at least had the chance to sit on one at a local show?
