286cc single with a bore of 76mm and a 63mm stroke. The engine in CBR300R has definitely been lifted from the 250 and bored, CBR250R had the same bore and a 55mm stroke..

The procedure has graced the CBR300R with 30.4 ponies and 19.9 ft-lbs of twist, coming on strong between 7K and 9K rpm. Weight has been scaled at 362 pounds which is lighter than the CBR250R by 4 pounds, however that is without the optional ABS.

CBR300R does fall short of the Ninjette 300's 296cc displacement and 39 hp/20 ft-lbs but the Ninja is a whole 21 pounds heavier so that should even things out fairly. No word on if it will be jumping the pond but Honda America never even got around to announcing the 250 so its more likely were going to go straight to 300...
