Does the original pipe need periodic re-packing? I am sure the Yoshi and Two Brothers do. Drilling out rivets and the cost of repack kits is making me think the big heavy unit is not so bad.

Maybe I should ask instead - Is there a lighter, better sounding aftermarket slip-on available where the sound-absorbing material does not need to be restuffed every so many miles? If not, is there a solution where I can just use off-the-shelf fiberglass (of which I have plenty)?

Thanks CBros

Ive done 10K miles on my CF muffler with no sign of a re-pack needed and I think Motomike has done more than that with no hassles either.
The main prob with the stock pipe (other than being pig ugly) is its weight. When you have it off the bike and pick it up you will be surprised. Something like 16lbs I think.
