So I have this idea and I was curious if anyone has done it or not (or has at least had the same idea).
I originally wanted the black and yellow color scheme (link), but bought the red instead, due to a possible higher visibility on the streets. But I had an idea to get the pattern of that yellow striping on my bike, only do it in a red reflective decal or vinyl or something. Thought that may be cool during the night rides.
anyone follow me on that?

I totally get this.......I have a tri color 300r that I made into everything HRC.......I do think that seeing a black and yellow CBR 300 would be kick ass. Make it your own......I'd love to see pics how it turns out.

I think it would look great! Get it done in a white vinyl so during the day it looks regular and racy, then at night you get all the bennys of reflective tape :D;)

I have found a reputable local shop that is going to do this for me. They use a film that is only 4 mm thick and it is a knifeless product that is handcut without using razorblades. The film is made in house and is kept on file in case of repair or replacement. Here's a link for the curious. Vehicle Wraps - Vehicle Graphics - Vinyl Wraps - Vinyl Images

Getting it done in white might not be a bad idea! I will definitely consider that. Now I just gotta decide if I want to get this done in the offseason or wait till spring so I can ride it to and from the shop...

black and yellow are 'warning' colours in nature
so have a nice impact on bikes, but that 300
layout of the yellow didnt get me..
followed certain lines but doesnt mean those lines
make an overall flow or go with the overall
look of the bike.. looked add on to me..

lots of very nice use of red and black on faired
incl honda motorcycles, even stock, but also
check out motogp, moto2, moto3 bike colours..

that red with yellow does look nice, but then again the all red looks great too..
only second imo to all black..

honda wing was first added as a sign of quality
[glass covered screw on silver wing on black]
on my first honda, cb72 250 twin, so i see it as
something special, and was very pleased when
cbr250r came out with the wing on its tank :)

dont go for brand names etc generally but
like basic honda name as an added touch..

wouldnt be taking honda wing off the tank...

Oh wow! that looks even better in that shot. I see you got Honda put on the belly cowl too. Wicked. You must be pleased with the job they did.
Very very pleased...120% happy. I went riding and turned heads. It was a great feeling. If you want to see one more cool pic, look at my garage under "exterior". Love that one!
And I don't plan on removing any other decals, like the Honda wing. That would be silly...

For the enjoyment of the masses :)
Looks great man. FIRE!

As for the "what have I done today?"....
Went to work, forgot to tarp up my bike (don't have a garage) and a friggen thunderstorm hit.. now my bike is filthy and loaded with water spots. Looks like I'll be washing it tomorrow. Argh!
