I've not long purchased these riding pants and have just given them a weeks testing on tour.
They seem to live up to the claim of being water proof but their best feature would be the waist fastening system that allows for a variety of sizes. I bought size 30" waist but I'm really a 29 so it was good to be able to pull them in a bit.
They have good knee protection but was disappointed that the hip protection pockets had nothing in them. I cut my own out of a closed foam camping bed roll.
They also have a removable liner so should be really warm come the winter months when I put that back in.
My only complaint would be that the fit is a bit on the loose side even allowing for my skinny legs.
Like most RST products, they are not overly expensive.
So I'd recommend them, esp if you have big legs :)

Not a good time of year for buying new pants after the excesses of the festive season.
I'm one of the lucky ones - my metabolism is faster than a Hayabusa! :D

That adjustable waist is a welcomed feature - take my money!
