I've noticed that hardly anyone here has their general location listed in their username profiles.

Please update your location in your user profile.

Thanks,

My original intent with this thread was to prompt members into entering their location, but I failed to spell that out in my opening post here.

For the rest of the membership here, it is easy to do.

First, open the User CP in the upper right hand corner of the forum page.

Then click on Edit Profile. In that screen scroll down to the Additional Information section, where you will see a window labeled Location... this is where you can enter the name of your state, or country.

When you've done that, scroll down to the bottom of that page, and click the Save button.

It's as easy as that.

Since this is an international forum, having your general location listed below your Username is meaningful and useful information to other members who are replying to questions... for example, if a member in India is looking for recommendations on a place to buy riding gear or a helmet, it isn't going to help him much if another member posts up info about ordering those items from a company the U.S., or Canada. Like wise, those who live in the U.S. are not too likely to order bike parts & accessories from the UK or India.

there are 35 countries using $ dollar
as currency name, aside from the many
who use the US$..
also some societies measure speed
in mph while others us kph..
also various road rules apply to different
societies, incl speed limits and which
side of the road is used, etc..

these things crop up in various posts
where someone 'can only do 80'
or 'turn left onto the right side'
and so on..

a simple glance left shows where
the op lives, rather than members
needing to post the question,
or just not bother etc..

anyway, greetings from
sunny coogee beach
australia..
